Positive Affirmations

Guide to Effective Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are very useful in establishing a positive mindset. It involves
replacing all of your negative thoughts with positive ones. You’ll start by
repeating powerful statements to yourself. The more you do this,
the more positive your attitude will become. Your mind
will get used to thinking positively. In a sense,
you are changing the way your brain
thinks and reacts to things.

Creating Positive Affirmations

Creating positive affirmations yourself are more effective than using one someone
else wrote. Your mind is better at understanding and applying your own
work. Start by sitting in a quiet place without any distractions.
Grab a pen and a notebook. Title your page “What do
I want to be like”. Focus your thoughts and be
honest. Write down a list of qualities
that you want to have.

Here’s some examples to help you get started: “I want to be confident”, “I wish I
was better at sales”, “I want to help the poor out”, “I want to live a healthy
life”, “I want to be happy”. Write as many things as you can think
of. What you’re doing here is identifying what you think
your weaknesses are. Positive affirmations
help you get what you want instead
of focusing on just wanting it.

After you finish, look through your list. Everything you wrote is what you believe
you don’t have yet. For example, if you wrote “I want to be confident” that
means you think you’re not confident right now. Now lets create
your positive affirmations. Change everything on your list
to sound as if you already have it. Instead
of using “I want to be confident”
put “I am confident”.

Using Positive Affirmations

Congratulations on creating your positive affirmations. It wasn’t that hard, was it?
So now how do you use them? Spend at least fifteen minutes a day saying
the positive affirmations to yourself. I prefer saying them out
loud. To make it more effective, close your eyes and
visualize yourself having that quality. Feel
and believe that it’s real. Fifteen
minutes is the minimum.

After a while you’ll reprogram your brain to react as if you’re already the way you
wanted to be like. For example, if you “wanted to help the poor more” you
have brainwashed yourself to believe you “do help the poor more”.
Next time you see a homeless person, you’re likely to
give them change because you believe you do
help them instead of just wanting
to help them out.

Positive affirmations are very powerful. They help you turn your weaknesses into
strengths. Using these positive statements changes your style of thinking
from “absence” to “abundance”. You program your subconscious
mind to believe that you already are who you want to
become. That’s the only way you can be that
person. Turn the future to RIGHT
NOW and live happily!
