Turning Knowledge Into Action

Turning-Knowledge-Into-Action

[ You Know It So Why Not Show It? ]

We all have knowledge about one thing or another. Success comes for those that can use
their knowledge and act upon it. There are people with an incredible amount of
knowledge but see little success because they lack action. Taking action
starts by applying what you know. Many people know to live
healthy you need a good diet and exercise, but they
don’t do it. To build wealth, start saving money.
But many people don’t take action, why?

Motivation for Action

Motivation is what puts knowledge into action. There has to be a strong reason behind
your actions. If there isn’t a reason that motivates you enough, then you will
not want to act or give up in the process of action. Motivating reasons
are the ones the ignite a fire inside your heart. It makes you
smile thinking of the end result. It makes you want to
get up that instant and start taking action. Find
all your reasons. The more, the better.

Let’s say for example you just read a book about losing weight and want to take action
but every time you try, you fail. You’ve created goals for yourself but end up
eating cheeseburgers even though you know it’s not good. Why does
this happen? Because the taste of cheeseburger makes you feel
good. The good feeling motivates you to action. Refocus
yourself and list reasons why it will make you feel
good to lose weight. Use that as motivation.

Fear of Taking Action

Fear is the killer of all dreams. It’s the limit that we set in our minds because of past
experiences or what we currently observe. It also comes from being scared
of the future since it is unknown. When you have the knowledge to
take action but you’re scared, it’s because you’re doubting
yourself. You’re scared you’ll fail. You don’t believe
in your abilities to succeed so you rather not
take action. The secret of success is YOU.

Combining Knowledge and Action

You might also be fearful that you don’t have enough knowledge to take action.
This thought holds people from moving forward. You have two options
from there. Either to gain more knowledge or just take action with
the knowledge you have and learn as you go along. I would
go with the second option. There is no better way to
learn than hands-on experience. It gives you
more confidence and BETTER knowledge.

The knowledge you gain this way will stick with you. Ask college students how
much they remember from reading many textbooks after textbooks. And
then go ask a worker from a company how much they remember
from working everyday. The answer is obvious. When you
desire to take action, find the right motivation and
kill fear before it kills you. Keeping knowledge
inside is a waste. Do something with it.

  1. Another great article Faizal. Thanks

  2. this is correct. sometimes i feel people are just lazy and they don’t want to take action. they are comfortable where they’re at and they don’t want change, even if it’s for the better.

  3. Hello Faizal,

I read through some of your posts and I love how you write. The design of your text is awesome! I never seen anything like it before.

    Thank you,

    Connie

  4. Jerry,

Thanks for stopping by again and I’m glad you are enjoying the work.

  5. Adrian,

You are absolutely correct. Some people just never find the motivation that gets them moving.

    Connie,

Thanks for your feedback. People have been saying positive things about the writing style. I’ll keep up the good work!

  6. I like how in the end u stated kill the fear before it kills you. That is so true. Now that I think of it, fear is one if the reasons why I decide not to take action in certain things. I can change that though, I just need something where the motivation outweighs the fear.

  7. “Fear is the killer of all dreams.” – so true.

  8. This post was well-timed for me. Just yesterday I was talking about how I don’t take action because, deep down, I am afraid. What a wonderful post for me to read to feel motivated and to address the idea that my fear is holding me back!

  9. Great post Faizal.

I’d also like to say to not let anyone crush your dreams or make fun of you for taking action. Some people can be scared to do things themselves and so make you feel silly or worthless for trying to achieve your goals. It is for no other reason than their own fear so don’t let them affect you.

  10. Michelle,

I’m sure you can change that. If you believe it, you can achieve it! You’re on the right track by finding motivation that outweighs your fears.

  11. Positively Present,

Wow, it was very well timed!

Fear holds us all back time to time. Try focusing on what your intention is rather than the results. That’s how I overcome my fears.

  12. Sonia,

    Thank you for visiting BeTrulyHappy.com.

I completely agree with your comment. Don’t let anyone keep your from taking action. In their minds they are scared or they think it’s impossible but when your desire is strong enough, you tend to ignore their thoughts and focus on your own instead.

People always speak from their own experiences and their own fears. If you want to be like them, then listen. But if you want to be bigger and better, then take action regardless of what anyone says.

  13. Faizal-Thanks for the great article. I totally agree that there is no better way to learn than hands on training. I am pursuing a career in accounting and to be honest with you I learned more accounting working in the field than in that 2yrs of school. It’s so much easier to understand things when you are actually doing it.

  14. Hey Fereen,

Thank you for reading. I’m sure that many school students will agree with what you have to say. I know I do!

Good luck in your career and I hope BeTrulyHappy.com helps your journey.

  15. Faizal, Excellent article. This is inspiring. I have a lot of knowledge of computers and I recently have been laid off. I take it as a blessing though. I always wanted to start my own business and after reading this I feel like I need to. My knowledge can bring me success rather than bringing the company lots of money. Thank you so much for this. I will read more.

  16. Ritesh,

Wow, I’m pleased to see that this article was that inspiring. It’s good to know that you are handling this situation in such a positive way.

I wish you the best of luck!
