William,

I completely agree on that one. Sometimes the thought of getting on the treadmill kills me...but then I think about where it will lead me and the motivation comes by itself.

Thanks for reading.

I really liked the part about focusing on positive results instead of the work involved.

That's exactly where I get bogged down. If I start thinking about it as work, then I won't do it. But if I think about it in terms of the positive results, it gives me that extra push that I need until my motivation returns.

Thanks for the post!

Natalie,

Use the Google calendar or any calendar of your choice and set a schedule. It should help you stay focused on one thing at a time. I understand what you mean though. Sometimes when I'm working, other tasks come into my head. I put it on my schedule to finish later. It gives me peace of mind.

Roguelo,

That's actually how I found out about Google calendar too. I wanted to make my calendar available to my fiance so we can coordinate or schedules. It works out great!

Miguel and Danny,

Thank you both for stopping by.

My biggest problem when I can't seem to complete a task is anxiety. My overwhelming anxiety creates procrastination and then the task is avoided completely. So I think before I can overcome procrastination, I need to learn to deal with anxiety and how to push it out of my mind. I don't know if anybody can relate to me, but this is a big obstacle of mine.

""Prioritize your goals"

That's my problem right there. I jump from one thing to another and it leaves a lot of things undone. I will take your advice.
