Quick Way to Change Your Mood

We’re all human beings and as much as we want to remain in a positive mood
at all times, things change on us. We have our ups and downs. The key
is to realize when we’re down and bring ourselves up the fastest
way possible. Sometimes thinking positive thoughts isn’t
enough. We think good things, but just can’t get
that good feeling inside. How can we get
through this? The way is simple.
Use Your Body
When the thoughts aren’t powerful enough on it’s own, you have to use your
body too. When you picture a person in a good mood, do you picture
then smiling or frowning? Do you see them moving fast or just
strolling by? Do you feel their positive energy or are you
getting a bad vibe from them? Well, my point is that
you can’t only think positive when you are
feeling down, you have to act it out.
Once you start acting, your mood will lift up right away. This morning I woke
up and felt extremely tired. I was not in the mood to do anything but
sleep. However, I never let my actions reflect my mood. I got
up right away and ran on the treadmill. Do you picture
a tired person running or someone energetic? An
energetic one right? Well, what do you think
happened? My mood changed quickly!
How to Get Started
Sometimes it’s hard to start acting like you’re in a good mood. Don’t worry
though, it’s not your fault. When we’re in a negative mood, we think
negative thoughts and end up in negative situations. That’s
just what we feel like doing at the time. The first thing
you need to do is realize your bad mood. Once
you do, then you can make the decision to
change it. And now the physical part…
Laugh. Yes, that’s right. Forget how silly it might look and just do it. Laugh
for no reason. Pretend that you just seen the funniest comedy in the
world and laugh your butt off. If this is hard for you, start with
a smile and turn it into a laugh. The power of this will
amaze you! Once you start laughing, you can’t
help but be in a good mood. It happens
automatically. Use this power.
Final Word
Yes, our minds are powerful but our body is just as amazing. Learning to
use them together is a talent that gives us incredible power. Look
at people’s body language in different moods to understand
this concept better. And also, treat your body good.
Exercise and eat right and you will be able to
sustain your positive attitude longer and
change your mood when you want.

I agree with you that smiling and laughing is powerful. This made me realize that my friend is actually always smiling whenever I see her and it seems she’s never in a bad mood. I think the advice was great.
