How to be GREAT!

How-To-Be-GreatThere’s so many great people in the world. Sometimes looking at others leaves us wondering, “How can I be that great?” or “How can I create something that great?”.

Well, today I’ve been thinking about this, and I came to the conclusion that we already are great! We just have to see it and believe it.

Now, if you’ve read about ways to find love before, then you know one of the first rules is to LOVE YOURSELF FIRST right?

You see, that same rule applies to being great and doing great things. I use a word like “great” because it’s vague. I want you to define what great means for yourself.

To me, great means many things. When I’m feeling great, I’m enjoying every minute of life. I’m following my passion. When I feel great, it feels like whatever I create at that moment is golden! I know it’s a masterpiece! If it’s an article I write, or a person I help…whatever it might be, I get a great sensation out it.

So basically, my definition of great is getting enjoyment out of what I do because when I’m in that state of mind, everything I do turns out GREAT!

The lesson here

The lesson to learn is that we see great people create masterpieces in art, business, relationships, or anything else they desire…..but sometimes we fail to realize that we have the same capabilities. It’s only a matter of believing that we’re great too. Nothing separates us from them except our state of mind.

When we feel great, we are happy to do things. We carry out things with good intentions and the things we do, usually are just a REFLECTION OF OUR MOOD AND INTENTIONS.

If you want to be a great writer, then feel great when you write. If you want to be a great artist, feel good when you paint. If you want to be great at anything, start feeling great about doing it!

I know you’re great. I know I’m great too. When we believe this and live every minute feeling this way, whatever we do will turn out great in our eyes. We won’t need a second opinion. You’ll know in your heart that it’s great.

  1. Hi Faizal,

You make an excellent point when you say, …”but sometimes we fail to realize that we have the same capabilities.” Many often look outside of themselves for answers vs. looking within, trusting, appreciating, and following what they value.

Self-awareness, self-love, self-acceptance first, then you’ll manifest Great relationships, events, creations, etc.

    Cheers to being GREAT!

  2. Hey Faizal,

You’re right, greatness isn’t some mystical thing that only a select few people are born with. We all have the potential for it. I think it is as simple as knowing what you want, believing you can have it, and taking action.

    Stay great buddy,
    Ben

  3. Hey Kim,

I used to always look outside for answers, but it would bring me down more than it helped me. Once I started believing in myself, that’s when my life truly began.

  4. Hey Ben, I hope you’re staying great too! I like your three step idea: purpose, faith, action. That should bring great results every time.

  5. Hi Faizal.

Yeah, we do need to feel great while we are doing what we excel at or are glad to do. There is no reason why not. We can be outlandish too, and try new things at the same time. I mostly get this feeling when I’m in a state of momentum.

Usually, when we feel great, we do make masterpieces. A week or two ago, I was in production mode in my mind, and I created a wonderful sounding remix of Fur Elise in an audio-creation program. These are things we are able to do as long as we know we have the potential. Had I not felt that way, I wouldn’t have a cool song of my own now.

  6. Hey Armen, welcome to BeTrulyHappy.com.

Great to hear about the masterpiece you created. Being in that state of mind produces amazing results!

  7. Faizal, thank you. Here’s to greatness – yours, ours, mine. Feeling great often begins when we step beyond our tendency of thinking small. Each time we positively stretch beyond our limits, create something new, or act with love and passion, we touch greatness in ourselves and encourage it in others. From the foot of Mount Fuji, wishing you many great golden moments -Catrien Ross.

  8. Catrien, stretching beyond our limits is a big step in personal growth. Growth actually promotes the feeling of greatness.

  9. Faizal: Great post. I totally agree with what you have said here. When we really want to accomplish great things we have to be able to pour our passion and positive energy into what we are doing. When there is beauty in the process, the results always unfold the way we desire. This is really the way you create greatness. Thanks for the inspiration.
